Friday night exchange

23rd November 2017

North Ayrshire Foodbank are the recipients of the ongoing compassionate support of many kind individuals, groups, organsiations and businesses.

In amongst the items donated we get specific items in sufficient quantities beyond that which we can distribute. To ensure that we are not wasting the sacrificial giving of our supporters we are looking to pilot an “exchange” programme.

The idea is simply to post onto our social media the items we have in abundance and cannot issue prior to their expiration and would seek to exchange for another item we are currently in short supply.

An example would of what would be available for exchange is a Jar of Fiesta Chilli Cooking Sauce. Needed is a tin of rice pudding, an item we have run out of as of today.

Look out for our list on our face book page. The “exchange” will happen on Friday evenings from 7pm to 8.00pm in the small hall of the Ardrossan Church of the Nazarene on Glasgow Street.
