Ayrshire Storage Centre – thank you

North Ayrshire Foodbank are grateful to the Ayrshire Storage Centre for becoming the latest Corporate supporter. Ayrshire Storage Centre have generously agreed to waive our annual fee for our storage facility to allow the Foodbank to utilise the funds over the festive season to assist in the provision of emergency food boxes as well as festive hampers.

This winter the Tesco Food drive and cash donations has allowed the foodbank to work with agencies across North Ayrshire. Housing Support distributed 260 festive foodboxes to those in temporary accommodation. Two local academies distributed 165 food boxes to families they work with. Social Services received over 100 boxes to issue whilst other agencies closed down for the holidays. 250 Hampers went to households recommended by our partners. 60 hampers went to families we work with through our childrens work as well as 365 emergency food boxes with treats distributed prior to Christmas for referred households.

This would not have been possible without the support of so many compassionate individuals, groups and businesses. We thank Ayrshire Storage Centre for joining our work to reduce the impact of food insecurity.
